Botanical Fest 2023

I have enjoyed the Melbourne Botanical Fest for many years. This year was very nice. There was local honey dealers and lots of native flowers. The bromeliads were amazing. I really like them and have many in my yard.

Open the New Year with flowers

I needed to get supplies for my chickens and ducks at Tractor Supply. They had Amaryllis, Hyacinth on sale. The bulbs were sprouting in a sealed bag, so I rescued them. I stopped at Lowes on the way home and found more in need of rescue. It is the first time I tried Tulips, Daffodils and Hyacinth. I hope they grow.

Ginger buddy

I got Ginger May 22, 2012. He had a manx mother and father, but he was the only kitten that had a tail. Our cat Mercury got along with him well. Priscilla was mostly good, but did cause a few infected bite wounds.

Ginger’s family

Ginger was a water kitty that played in the dog size water bowl I had. He was not fond of the dogs I dog sat, but was not mean to them. He kept a wide distance from them. I loved having him sit beside me and purr.

Ginger passed away in his cubby on July 2nd, 2022. He is missed.

Linda Wood’s flowers

Linda is in Huber Heights Ohio. She has beautiful flowers that she sells at a farmer’s market.

It is hot in Ohio this week. I picked up some jewelry for Rae.
This pink was vibrant.

Locks of love

In October 2021, my hair was long enough to donate to Locks of Love after a year of not cutting due to COVID. It is the second time i have done this. Locks of Love uses the hair to make wigs for those going through chemo.
